PSI Value Modelling

2D & 3D PSI Value Modelling & Calculations

Thermal bridging is a major source of heat loss in buildings, representing up to 30% of heat loss from a building in typical constructions.  Non-repeating or linear thermal bridges become even more important as levels of insulation in building elements increase. With the removal of Accredited Construction Details in the new building regulations, the majority of new build homes will require bespoke PSI value calculations to achieve compliant SAP calculations.

PSI values represent the heat loss through the junction of two heat loss elements, such as an external wall and a ground floor.  To calculate PSI values for your project, we would need detailed CAD drawings for each junction or interface that you wanted modelled, along with a breakdown of all materials planned to be used in the construction.  We'll create models using the approved Physibel TRISCO software, providing you with bespoke psi values to help your project achieve compliance.
